Who can attend summer camps? 

We have camps for students entering G2-5 and for students entering G6-12.

Who leads summer camps? 

Our team includes our Founder & Director, Jana Dykhuis, who has degrees and experience in arts education, from traditional classroom teaching to summer camps and more! She is joined by Assistant Directors as well as Summer Interns who are studying or have graduated with degrees in education, music, or the arts. All personnel complete background checks and training prior to camps. 

What is a typical week like? 

For our Visual Arts & Creative Storytelling Camps, students explore a variety of artistic mediums and ways to tell their stories through the arts. Each day holds ice breakers, games, different projects, and opportunities for campers to explore their own creative interests as well. At the end of the week, we celebrate all of our learning and creating with an art gallery for family and friends! 

What makes the Culture House camps unique? 

Not only are these camps built on quality arts education practices and pedagogy, but they are also capped at 10 students per week in order to maintain low student to teacher ratios and allow for close-knit relationship building in a positive environment for students of all abilities and learning styles. 

What if summer camp is out of our budget? 

We totally understand! The Culture House offers early bird pricing, multi-camp discounts for individuals and families, scholarships, and other promotional offers throughout the year to ensure that everyone has access to high-quality arts education. We will do our best to work with you to make sure that money is not a barrier to sending your kids to camp!
